"It's My Party..." gets the attention it truly craves...

On Wednesday, November 25th, the website Etsy Stalker featured my dinnerware design "It's My Party..." in a post entitled "Dessert Plates: Have Another Piece of Pie!"
Above: My plate set, "It's My Party..." as featured on Etsy Stalker this past month.

My four-piece 8-inch diameter dessert plate set, with its spoiled birthday girl or boy charm, is currently available through Jaja and Coco, my online boutique, until right before Christmas.

Truly a Southern Belle at heart: A new chapter

Last week, I happily accepted a position as an Admission Representative for my alma mater, the prestigious and cutting-edge Savannah College of Art and Design.

During my time as a full-time student, I devoted much of my time to various college organizations including presiding over a Hall Council during my freshman year, becoming a Resident Assistant during my junior year and having the chance to lead events such as campus fundraisers and community-wide tree plantings through volunteer work with the Savannah Tree Foundation. Out of all of these enriching experiences, one of my best memories is my time as a Student Ambassador, providing information and insight to prospective students and their families while hosting tours of my campus. I volunteered my time as a Student Ambassador until my senior year and I am looking forward to going a step further as a graduate, now able to give even more advice as well as providing portfolio counseling on a full-time basis!

My new position, beginning at the end October, will allow me to once again mentor and inform those who are looking for the best art education available today. I am so excited to begin my career within the Atlanta campus, which opened in 2005 and currently showcases 23 majors in a state-of-the-art facility. I will still find the time to continue my freelance illustration and fine artwork, along with keeping up with my fine dinnerware collections, but one of the true rewards of my new position is knowing that my move to Atlanta next month will solidify my love of Georgia and SCAD even more than ever before...and I look forward to helping future students feel that same exact love through a truly enriching college experience.
